Marshmallow

Marshmallow arrived like a cloud that wasn’t quite ready to rain—big, white, impossibly fluffy, and just a little unsure of the world beneath him.

When he first came into our lounge, he chose the highest perch he could find, as if the ground itself might ask too much of him. From up there, he watched everything. His wide eyes followed every movement: the quiet footsteps, the gentle voices, the curious visitors who couldn’t help but notice the magnificent puff of white observing them from above. He had a big personality tucked inside that cautious heart—but at first, it stayed hidden behind distance and height.

Days passed, and something began to shift.

Marshmallow started leaning forward when people came in. Then inching closer. Then—just barely—letting his tail drape down where someone might reach it. He was curious, after all. And curiosity, for a cat like Marshmallow, is a powerful thing.

Before long, he couldn’t resist anymore.

He came down.

At first, it was brief visits—soft paws on the floor, a quick hello, then back up to safety. But those moments grew longer. He discovered that hands could be gentle, voices could be kind, and visitors… well, visitors were actually quite delightful. Especially the ones who admired his fluff.

Marshmallow didn’t just join the lounge—he became part of it. The once-shy cloud on the shelf turned into a presence you could feel: brushing past legs, accepting chin scratches, quietly insisting on being included in every new arrival’s experience.

And then, just as he had found his confidence, he found his home.

Now Marshmallow has a place to call his own—a space where his big personality can stretch out as wide as his fluffy coat, where he can choose his perches but never feel like he has to hide. We imagine him greeting his new family with that same gentle curiosity, maybe still a little shy at first, but unable to resist being part of the love around him.

We’ll miss seeing that soft white shape watching over the lounge. But more than anything, we’re happy.

Marshmallow, you came in quietly, but you left a mark that won’t fade.
We wish you all the warmth, comfort, and admiration your magnificent fluff deserves in your new home.
